Fleet
Intelligence.
Real Numbers.

OphirIQ quantifies what unplanned equipment failures are costing your fleet — using the asset register, OEM telematics, and maintenance logs you already have. No new hardware. Results the moment you upload.

The problem

The money is already
being lost.

Canadian mid-market mining and forestry operators lose $2–9M per site annually to equipment failures that are invisible to them — because no integrated intelligence system exists for their tier.

OphirIQ today quantifies and predicts unplanned-failure loss and recoverable value from your fleet data. The wider operational picture below is the problem landscape we're built to grow into.

$2–9M
Lost per site annually
From unplanned equipment failures, haul trucks carrying waste to the mill instead of ore, and unharvested timber fibre left on the ground after logging — losses that never appear on a single line of your P&L.
4–6 hrs
Grade information lag
In open-pit mining, ore grade is tested by assay — a lab process that takes 4–6 hours. Meanwhile, haul trucks move thousands of tonnes on stale information, sending ore to the waste dump and waste to the mill.
0
Internal data science capacity
Enterprise operators have internal data science teams. You have real operational data, real financial pain, and no one to convert it into decisions. That's the gap OphirIQ closes.
The mid-market gap — by the numbers
$180K–$400K
Cost of a single unplanned Cat 793 failure — parts, labour, and lost production at a remote BC or Ontario mine
15–25%
Skilled trades vacancy rate in northern BC and Ontario mining regions — automation multiplies the output of the people who remain
78–85%
Typical BC forestry harvest yield — operators consistently leave 15–22% of licensable volume on the ground due to suboptimal harvest decisions
8–15%
Recoverable ore value lost to misclassification at the blast face in Canadian open-pit operations

How it works

Three steps.
Your data. Real numbers.

From your existing OEM exports to a quantified business case — no new infrastructure required.

HOW THE NUMBERS ARE CALCULATED
Annual loss figures come from your maintenance history — actual recorded failure costs annualized over your data window. OEM telemetry is used separately for real-time risk scoring. The two are never conflated.
HOW YOUR DATA IS PROTECTED
Demo data is processed in an isolated environment and wiped every 24 hours. For paid engagements, we sign an NDA before any data is shared. All data stored in Canadian cloud regions. You retain 100% ownership.
01
Connect your data
Export a CSV from VisionLink, KOMTRAX, Maximo, or SAP. Upload it to OphirIQ. We provide templates — 15 minutes of your team's time.
OEM telematics · Maintenance logs · Asset register
02
Identify the losses
The platform calculates annualized loss from failure history, scores every asset by risk, and ranks them by financial exposure.

Who it's for

Built for the
mid-market.

Enterprise operators have internal data science teams. Micro operators can't afford anything. The mid-market has budget, acute pain, and zero internal capacity. That's who we built this for.

FAQ

Questions we
get asked.

Do we need to buy new hardware or sensors? +
No. OphirIQ works entirely with data your equipment already generates — OEM telematics from VisionLink, KOMTRAX, or similar systems, plus your existing maintenance records from Maximo, SAP, or Excel. We provide export templates. Your team spends about 15 minutes getting us the data.
How is this different from what our OEM (Cat, Komatsu) already provides? +
OEM platforms like VisionLink and KOMTRAX show you raw telemetry — engine hours, fuel consumption, fault codes. They don't calculate your financial loss, score your assets against each other, or tell you which truck is most likely to fail next. OphirIQ builds the intelligence layer on top of the data your OEM already collects.
What does the Data Readiness Review involve? +
We confirm whether your asset register, telemetry, and maintenance logs are suitable for an OphirIQ pilot, and show you what the platform can produce using sample or limited data. No commitment, no sales pressure — if your data isn't pilot-ready, we'll tell you what's needed.
How do you protect our operational data? +
All data is stored in Canadian cloud regions. Your data never leaves Canadian soil. We sign an NDA before you share anything. You retain 100% ownership of your data at all times — we retain the right to use anonymized, aggregated learnings only, never anything traceable to your operation.
Who on our team needs to be involved? +
For the free audit: your maintenance coordinator or fleet manager for the data export. For the pilot: VP Operations to scope the use case and your CFO for contract review. Your team doesn't need any technical capacity to run this.
What happens if the pilot doesn't hit its KPIs? +
We define success metrics in writing before we sign anything. If we miss them, that's on us — not you. The pilot is structured so your downside is capped at the pilot cost. We don't get paid for full deployment unless the pilot demonstrably delivers.
We already have an ERP and maintenance system. Do you replace them? +
No. OphirIQ reads from your existing systems — it doesn't replace them. Think of it as an intelligence layer that sits on top of your current data, not a replacement for your dispatch system, ERP, or maintenance platform.
What data do you need and how long does it take? +
Three files: asset list, OEM telemetry, and maintenance logs. We provide templates for each. Your maintenance coordinator can pull these exports in under an hour. Try it right now with our live demo.
