Privacy Policy
The short version: Your operational data stays in Canada, is never sold, is never used to identify your operation without your consent, and is wiped from demo environments every 24 hours. You own your data. Always.
1. Who We Are
OphirIQ is a fleet intelligence platform operated by DYNTRIXA, a Canadian technology company. We provide AI-powered operational analytics for mid-market mining and forestry operators across British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect two categories of data:
- Operational data you upload — asset registers, OEM telematics exports (VisionLink, KOMTRAX, etc.), and maintenance logs (Maximo, SAP, Excel). This data is used solely to generate your fleet intelligence analysis.
- Account and contact data — your name, email address, company name, and any information you provide when booking a call or creating an account. Used for authentication and communications only.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your operational data is used exclusively to:
- Calculate your annualized loss from unplanned equipment failures
- Score your assets by financial risk exposure
- Generate fleet intelligence reports and recommendations
- Improve our predictive models using anonymized, aggregated data only
We never use your data for advertising, we never sell it to third parties, and we never share it with other clients.
4. Demo Environment
Data uploaded to the OphirIQ public demo at app.ophiriq.com/demo is processed in an isolated environment separate from any client data. Demo data is automatically wiped every 24 hours. We recommend not uploading confidential production data to the demo environment unless covered by an NDA.
5. Data Residency & Sovereignty
All client operational data is stored exclusively in Canadian cloud regions — AWS Canada Central (Montreal) or Azure Canada. Your data never leaves Canadian soil. This is a contractual commitment and an architectural constraint, not just a policy.
Canadian data sovereignty: All infrastructure is locked to Canadian regions at the infrastructure-as-code level. We cannot move your data outside Canada without your explicit written consent.
6. Data Ownership
You retain 100% ownership of your operational data at all times. OphirIQ retains the right to use anonymized, aggregated learnings (e.g., failure rate benchmarks across fleet types) that cannot be traced back to your specific operation. We will never publish, share, or reference your company-specific data without your explicit written consent.
7. NDAs and Confidentiality
For all paid engagements — including the free operational audit — we sign a mutual NDA before any operational data is shared. The NDA is provided by OphirIQ and covers all data exchanged during the engagement.
8. Data Retention
- Demo environment: Wiped every 24 hours automatically
- Paid pilot data: Retained for the duration of the engagement plus 90 days, then deleted unless the client requests otherwise
- Full deployment data: Retained for the duration of the contract, then deleted within 30 days of contract termination
- Account data: Retained until you request deletion
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security practices including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
- Audit logging of all data access events
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure
10. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services in delivering OphirIQ:
- AWS Canada Central — cloud infrastructure and storage
- Clerk — authentication and user management
- Google Analytics — anonymized website usage analytics (ophiriq.com only)
- Calendly — meeting scheduling
None of these services receive your operational fleet data. Google Analytics is configured to anonymize IP addresses and does not receive any personally identifiable operational data.
11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you or your operation
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data at any time
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

12. Compliance
OphirIQ operates in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation including BC PIPA and Ontario's privacy framework.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. We will notify active clients of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. The current version is always available at ophiriq.com/privacy.html.
